Job Description

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple projects under the guidance of the Design Lead and Business Development team.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, provide design solutions, and convey objectives clearly to the project team.
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term collaboration.
  • Work independently and proactively, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills both individually and within a team.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of design trends, construction methodologies, and the appropriate application of Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E).
  • Design within project parameters, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Continuously research, learn, and enhance design knowledge and skills, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Adapt to a paperless work environment and uphold strong sustainability practices.
  • Ensure high design quality within the project team while mentoring and coaching junior designers to enhance collaboration and skill development.
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian building codes and local Building-By-Laws, while effectively executing space planning.
  • Provide clear and structured project status reports to superiors.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business and project goals.
  • Oversee quality control for all design document deliverables presented to clients.
  • Align work with company and department strategies, planning, and targets while fostering a cohesive team environment.
  • Adhere to department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the company’s Integrated Management System (ISO9001, ISO37001, ISO45001, ISO14001).

Job Requirements

 Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience managing the entire project lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead both Design Consultancy and Design & Build projects.
