Job Description

The Executive, Data Engineering will provide engineering and development support in delivering cloud-based ETL processes, data architecture designs, and automation. The role focuses on executing routine data tasks, assisting in pipeline development and to enable smooth day to day operations and process monitoring. This position is designed for early career professionals who are keen to build expertise in data engineering while contributing to CTOS’s cloud migration and reporting initiatives. · Contribute to the design and development of solutions related to Cloud services, data warehousing, data lake, data analytics, data automation, data modelling. · Implement solutions ranging from proof of concepts to fully productive applications. · Enforce processes to meet compliance and data security standards. Pipeline Development · Support and optimise Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes. · Build data pipelines to enable adhoc and regular bulk data extraction based on business requirements. · Monitor pipeline performance and escalate issues when required. · Support operationalization of automated and semi automated data processes. Data Services · Execute scheduled and ad hoc data extraction requests in line with service SLAs. Such extraction may include both internal and external sources. · Develop dashboards and generate reports based on stakeholder requirements. · Maintain documentation of processes and workflows. WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL Qualifications · Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Work Experience · 1-2 years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT or related fields. · Exposure to cloud services (AWS preferred). · Familiarity with dashboard/reporting tools. Skills & Competencies · Strong knowledge in SQL, NoSQL, Python, PySpark, DAX scripting, etc. · Familiarity with data platforms and cloud native services. · Exposure to ETL tools such as Talend or AWS Glue. · Ability to troubleshoot data issues. Interpersonal Skills · Design thinking. · Strong willingness to learn and adapt. · Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. · Clear communication of technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.
