Job Description

The Senior Engineer, Linux is responsible for the administration, security, automation, performance, and operational resilience of enterprise Linux platforms across on-premises, AWS, and private cloud environments. The role serves as the subject matter expert for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Amazon Linux, ensuring systems remain secure, available, recoverable, and compliant with organizational and regulatory requirements. The incumbent will lead Linux infrastructure initiatives, drive automation and standardization, support business-critical applications, and provide technical guidance for Linux-related projects, operational improvements, and resilience program 1. Administer, maintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize RHEL and Amazon Linux servers across physical, VMware, AWS, and private cloud environments. 2. Manage operating system installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, repositories, services, filesystems, LVM, storage, and server lifecycle management. 3. Support enterprise Linux services including DNS, NTP, SMTP relay, certificates, authentication, SSH, and directory service integrations. 4. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, health monitoring, and availability management for Linux platforms. 5. Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, and migrate application platforms running on Linux servers, including Apache Tomcat and other middleware components. 6. Support integration between Grafana and enterprise monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, CloudWatch or other observability solutions.
