Job Description

 Overview

The Community Outreach & Events Intern will support the planning, coordination, and execution of outreach programs, CSR initiatives, and corporate events. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about community work, event management, and content creation. The intern will gain hands-on experience in stakeholder engagement, event logistics, and multimedia content production for social media.

Key Responsibilities

Event Support & Coordination

  • Assist in planning, organising, and executing community outreach programs, CSR initiatives, roadshows, and corporate events.
  • Support event logistics, including registration, flow management, setup, and teardown.
  • Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Assist in preparing event materials such as briefing notes, run-downs, and kits.

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Support engagement with community partners, NGOs, educational institutions, government agencies, and event participants.
  • Assist in gathering feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders post-event.
  • Help manage outreach documentation and reporting, including participant data and activity summaries.

Content Creation & Social Media Support

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos during events for social media and internal communications.
  • Support the creation of post-event highlight reels, recap videos, and simple edits.
  • Assist in drafting captions, simple artwork, or basic layouts for social media posts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn).
  • Organise and maintain a content library for all outreach and CSR activities.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with filing, documentation, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and post-event summaries.
  • Support any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the manager.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in community work, CSR, and eventmanagement.
  • Basic skills in photography and videography (mobile or camera).
  • Familiarity with simple editing tools (e.g.,CapCut, Canva, VN, Adobe Express) is a plus.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to drive a car and travel to event venues when needed.
  • Able to work on weekends or public holidays when events require (replacement leave provided).
  • Proactive, responsible, organised, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
