About the Role

The Livestream Host is a dynamic, high-energy brand anchor responsible for driving digital engagement and real-time sales conversions. This role demands a unique blend of charismatic presentation skills and commercial hustle, turning digital viewers into immediate buyers across platforms like TikTok, Shopee, and Facebook Live.

As a Livestream Host, you will act as the digital face of the company—combining product mastery with interactive storytelling to maximize watch time, boost engagement, and directly drive e-commerce revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Live Broadcast Execution: Host regular, scheduled live streams, maintaining a high-energy, infectious presence to capture and retain viewer attention.
• Conversion & Sales Drive: Employ persuasive product demonstration techniques, push flashing promotions, and deliver clear calls-to-action (CTAs) to maximize instant checkout rates.
• Real-Time Audience Engagement: Interact seamlessly with viewers by reading comments, answering product queries live, and cultivating a loyal community of followers.
• Show Planning & Scripting: Develop content outlines, structured flowcharts, and creative talking points tailored to hit specific viewership and sales KPIs per stream.
• Technical Ownership & Setup: Oversee the end-to-end studio setup—including basic lighting, audio check, and streaming software configuration—to ensure a flawless broadcast.
• Performance Data Analytics: Track and review live-stream performance data (such as Peak Viewers, Average Watch Time, and Gross Merchandise Value/GMV) to continuously optimize sales tactics.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications, Marketing, Performing Arts, or a related field (open to outstanding self-taught creators with a strong portfolio).
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of proven experience hosting live streams, digital content, or home-shopping networks, preferably with a heavy focus on social commerce / e-commerce sales.
• Language Proficiency: Flawless verbal communication and a highly engaging tone in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with native live-streaming tools (TikTok Shop, Shopee Live, Facebook Live) and broadcasting equipment (ring lights, wireless mics, soundcards).
• On-Camera DNA: Natural camera confidence, quick-witted improvisation skills, and a thick skin capable of managing unexpected technical glitches or live internet trolls gracefully.
