Job Description

We are seeking a Global IT Manager to lead our growing IT function in Kuala Lumpur. This is a senior, hands-on role overseeing cloud migration, global IT operations, and third-party supplier management across multiple time zones. You’ll work directly with senior leadership in a collaborative, non-bureaucratic, and approachable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global IT operations, managing a small internal helpdesk team and external specialist IT suppliers.
• Drive cloud migration projects, reducing legacy on-premise infrastructure and optimizing cloud environments.
• Oversee cloud system security, updates, and automation tools (e.g., AutoMox).
• Manage global Tiered Helpdesk performance, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Identify skills gaps, training needs, and future IT resource requirements.
• Optimize costs, resource utilization, and overall system performance.
• Provide a single point of IT contact for senior management, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational delivery.
• Collaborate closely with leadership and stakeholders to align IT strategy with business needs.
• Maintain compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years’ professional IT experience, including at least 5 years in IT management/leadership roles.
• Professional cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) with proven cloud migration and management experience.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, networking, databases (SQL/NoSQL), DevOps, scripting (Python, PowerShell), and infrastructure optimization.
• Proven track record in cloud migration, global IT operations, and third-party IT supplier management.
• Project management experience in cloud migration and decommissioning on-premise systems.
