Job Overview

The Project Manager in the Group Managing Director’s Office plays a pivotal role in managing and delivering strategic initiatives across the organization. This position involves planning, executing, and monitoring projects aligned with the Group Managing Director’s vision and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects within the PMO, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and scope, and meet the quality standards and expectations of the stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, vendors, and partners for the successful execution of projects.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers, and monitor and track the progress and performance of projects.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs, and communicate them effectively to the stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure that all projects follow the established project management methodologies, standards, and best
  • Manage the relationship with the stakeholders, sponsors, users, and vendors, and provide regular and clear reports and updates on the status and issues of projects.
  • Conduct quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and ensure that the deliverables meet the requirements and specifications.
  • Provide guidance and support to the project team members and ensure that they have the necessary skills, tools, and resources to perform their tasks.
  • Manage project closure and handover, and conduct lessons learned and post-implementation reviews.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the PMO project management processes and practices.

Skills and Experiences

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field with at least five (5) years of project management experience in preferably education institution related projects.
  • Professional certification in project management such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering complex and large-scale projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, and partners across different locations and domains.
  • Experience in managing projects using various methodologies such as waterfall, agile, or hybrid.
  • Experience in managing projects related to business applications, systems integration, data migration, infrastructure, or security.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different levels of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the project team and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues and risks in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy, with the ability to ensure that the project deliverables meet the standards and expectations.
  • Proficient in using project management software and tools such as MS Project, Jira, or equivalent.
  • Preferred (min. average) spoken & written in English language.
