Job Description

 Job Summary

The Account Executive will independently handle day-to-day simple book keeping for a retail SME, including sales transactions, inventory accounting, and statutory compliance. This role suits a candidate with approximately 2-4 years of experience who can manage a full set of accounts with minimal supervision and support management with accurate financial information.

  • Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, General Ledger, and month-end closing.
  • Record and reconcile daily retail sales, POS transactions, e-wallets, and credit card settlements.
  • Monitor AR & AP Aging, inventory costing, stock movements, and monitor inventory aging.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts such as profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and sales analysis reports.
  • Issue invoices, follow up on receivables, weekly sales reconciliation and manage supplier payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accounting schedules.
  • Prepare employees payroll and any compliance submission. 
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, suppliers, and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting and inventory records.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Bachelor of Accounting.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in retail or trading business.
  • Familiar with POS systems and accounting software – Xero or SQL accounting. Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, Shopify) will have added advantage.
  • Good proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. 
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently and handle full set of accounts independently. 
  • Strong teamplayer.
