Forecasting (30%)
• Prepare monthly rolling forecast (RF) for the whole Profit & Loss (P&L) from Gross Sales to Net Profit.
• Liaise with Demand Planning, Commercial Finance and Supply Point to update Gross Sales to Cost of Goods Sales (COGS) by SKUs, including sales volumes.
• Prepare RF SKU P&L from Gross Sales to Gross Margin (CO).
• Prepare RF Brand P&L from Gross Sales to Profit before Tax (ROP)
• Prepare RF ROP bridge.
• Prepare RF Net Sales Variance Analysis
• Coordinate with Commercial Finance to report RF Innovation & Renovation (Inno/Reno) roadmap, A&P spend by Nature and Customer Reporting analysis.
• Assess identify and quantify potential Risks & Opportunities (R&O) in RF.
• Update RF templates to ISEA (India & South East Asia) and Market Share as well as RF Deck for monthly calls with Regional Business Unit (RBU).
Global Planning System (GPS) (25%)
• Update monthly offtake, sell out and sell in performance by brand, customer and channel.
• Liaise with Demand Planner to update YTG GPS by brand and R&O.
• Update actual Market Share by category and segments.
• Update actual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of company big bets / priorities.
• Liaise with Sales Team, Demand Planner and SC Team to update KPIs relating to Sales Indicators, Product Availability, Inventory Planning & Ageing; and risks and mitigation plans for Stock Write Offs.
• Co-ordinate with Demand Planner and Sales Commercial Finance to simulate, phase and align Topline between RF and GPS.
• Update monthly GPS deck for FD presentation to Management Team (CODI Team).
• Attend monthly Forecast meeting, Demand meeting and Topline meeting to understand and consolidate all activities into GPS.
Monthly Actual Closing & Reporting (5%)
• Liaise with Commercial Finance to submit monthly Topline trend to ISEA team.
• Analyse and explain the variances between actual results and RF for decision to land the month results with FD.
• Ensure actual closing of financial results is in line with RF and with variances explained.
• Update Market Share and commentaries of actual results in Actual Deck for monthly calls with RBU.
• Consolidate and update Market Share, KPIs of company big bets and RF key figures for Managing Director’s review with ISEA VP.
• Monthly update of Net Sales figures to CBU stakeholders.
Annual Strategic Planning (Strat Plan) & Business Planning (BP) (5%)
• Assist FD in co-ordinating and consolidating market information and category assumptions for Strat Plan and BP.
• Simulate full P&L, as well as by brand and category, for Strat Plan and BP scenarios.
• Coordinate Inno/Reno roadmap and liaise with Commercial Finance to obtain Net Sales and Gross Margin contribution from Inno/Reno projects for consolidation in Strat Plan & BP scenarios.
• Assist FD in preparing and consolidating Strat Plan and BP presentations, as well as Quarterly Business Review Decks.
Cost of Goods (COG), Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Stock Revaluation and Stock Write Offs (25%)
• Obtain updated Transfer Prices (TP) from Operations Finance Controllers (Ops FC) of Supply Points (SP) and ensure the Standard Cost Price (SCP) and margins uplift (L500 margins) are correctly reflected in RF by SKUs.
• Liaise with Ops FC of SP to explain and rectify variances in SCP between actual invoiced and RF if any.
• Ensure all monthly L500 margins from SP are correctly validated by SKUs.
• Liaise with Supply Chain (SC) Controller to analyse and validate PPVs in actual if any.
• Liaise with Planner from SC Team and validate the value of purchases for forex hedging purposes.
• Forecast potential impact of stock revaluation and explain variances between actual and RF if any.
• Validate that all SCP and related COG duties, co-packing and transportation rates are properly maintained in Themis by SC Team.
• Validate and challenge SC team on justifications of stock write offs.
Productivity Projects (5%)
• Assist in or be part of project team representing Finance in CBU productivity and P&L efficiencies projects,
• Types of projects include PRGM (Profit and Revenue Growth Management), Protein (Other Goods & Services), minimizing inventory write offs and efficiencies in Warehousing and Logistics Costs.
Ad hoc Requests (5%)
• Prepare ad hoc analysis of actual results and simulations of RF as requested by Finance Director (FD), ISEA team, RBU and Country Business Unit (CBU).
• Prepare ad hoc analysis of P&L impacts for business cases and projects as requested by stakeholders of CBU.
• Provide ad hoc requests of financial information required by CBU stakeholders.
• Additional analysis required from RBU on details of actual and RF assumptions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW.
• At least 8 years of experience in (FP&A) or more.
• Experience from FMCG and MNC.
• Good team player and results orientated.
• Proven ability in multi-tasking, prioritizing workload, high attention to detail, follow-through and meticulous (mandatory)
• Technically skilled and mathematically inclined with a passion at crunching numbers; and thereafter the ability to convey stories from the numbers is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with numerous stakeholders to understand competing requirements, influence outcomes and deliver effective services.
• Highly independent and resourceful.
• Strong influencing ability and drive to win multi-functional collaborations.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• High level of Commercial & Business Acumen coupled with common sense.
