As a Sports Advisor, your mission is to ensure that every customer leaves our stores feeling ‘satisfied or more than satisfied’. Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Engagement

• Greet customers in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Fully dedicate yourself to ensuring customer satisfaction, addressing issues such as returns, complaints, and checkout concerns appropriately.
• Inform customers about our omni-channel offerings to provide a comprehensive range of products.
• Understand the technical features and benefits of Decathlon products to recommend suitable items and services, regardless of stock availability.
• Expand our customer network both in-store and online to better understand their needs and build personal connections.
• Share your passion for sports and assist customers in exploring new activities.
• Enhance customer information by encouraging loyalty card registrations.
• Engage in community sports events in the vicinity of the store.

2. Contributions to Decathlon Malaysia

• Understand departmental goals and collaborate with the team to achieve them.
• Encourage innovation and enhance the in-store sports experience.
• Maximize Decathlon Malaysia’s sales performance by utilizing available resources and commercial tools effectively.
• Organize store layout in accordance with implementation principles and guidelines.
• Create high-quality implementations based on the Satisfied Customer Family (FCS) framework.
• Maintain organized store displays to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Utilize the automatic replenishment system to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
• Raise awareness of Decathlon Connect among all stakeholders.

3. Ensuring Safety for People and Products

• Implement basic safety and security protocols in your departments.
• Understand and enforce fire safety and evacuation guidelines.
• Apply and uphold all security measures related to personnel, inventory, and cash, actively combating shrinkage.
• Adhere to product safety policies, including standardized adjustments and traceability for sensitive items and expiration dates.

4. Development and Skills Enhancement

• Manage your personal development and training plans effectively.
• Engage in training programs, enhance your training abilities, and aspire to become a trainer.
• Support teammates in skill improvement alongside the leadership team.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Students or individuals seeking part-time employment are welcome to apply.
• Hourly rate is RM13.56.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal) are required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• A minimum of a Diploma is necessary.
• Must demonstrate a customer-focused attitude with a strong service orientation.
• Desire to assist others, including colleagues and customers/users, is essential.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and adaptable to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Must be people-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with digital tools and technologies.
• Able to contribute effectively as part of a team during peak periods (weekends and holidays).
