Job Objective:
As a Project Manager - IT, you'll be the driving force behind our key projects, working closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to define, plan, and execute project strategies. Your expertise in project management will ensure our concepts are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
- Project Initiating and Planning
- Initiate the project in cooperation with the business leader and/or relevant BU manager, and identify the project team members.
- To develop and maintain the project management plan including the project breakdown (Initiate the lessons learned document to be completed during the whole project life cycle).
- Collect the business needs and requirements from the BU leader.
- Initiate the functional case document in cooperation with the business representative, the experience leader (if any), the digital technical team and/or Technical Program & Project Manager (TPM)
- Ensure that technical requirements are defined as per standards, along with relevant BU.
- Design the acceptance and testing plan with the project team members
- Prepare the project implementation, the roll out strategy, the training and communication plan.
- Initiate the lessons learned document to be completed during the whole project life cycle.
2. Project Budget & Cost Management
- Identify the budget and the ROI during the project initiation phase in cooperation with the business representative, the finance controller, the program manager and the impacted portfolio manager(s).
- Monitor and provide regular updates on the costs and value creation metrics to the stakeholders during governance meetings.
- Collect and analyze any potential budget change required by the governance on the whole project scope.
- Escalate any budget and costs deviation, elaborate and propose a mitigation plan accordingly.
- Leading the procurement part (3td party items…etc).
3. Project Executing & Monitoring
- Prepare and conduct weekly follow-up meetings with the project core team members including formal minutes of meeting.
- Prepare the list of the needed decisions and possible scenarios with their impacts and lead project Steering Committee (SteerCo).
- Ensure capacity planning for the project.
- Ensure execution of change plan.
- Coordinate the testing and acceptance plan execution.
- Coordinate the implementation and roll-out strategy execution, the training and communication actions.
- Distribute the information to the identified stakeholders based on their individual role and responsibility.
4. Project Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, analyze and maintain the project's risk log.
- Identify and analyze issues including immediate impacts on the project.
- Initiate and coordinate the responses (mitigation, cancellation, transfer…etc) to the risks and issues.
5. Project Scope Change Management
- Identify the scope changes with the project team members during the whole project life cycle.
- Report each change request within a formal document to get the approval of the scope changes and related impacts (scope, time, costs, quality) by the project governance.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Define and validate with all stakeholders the roles and responsibilities/RACI.
- Foster collaboration within the project team and with stakeholders outside the project.
- Communicate project progress and challenges to stakeholders, and manage stakeholders’ expectations.
- Work with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and ensure projects objectives are achieved.
7. Project Closing
- Prepare and conduct a closing meeting with the project team members to share the holistic project metrics at completion and review all lessons learned.
- Identify the potential pending actions and develop a plan for the transition to BAU where applicable.
- Verify and archive all project deliverable documents according to the formal project management structure and naming convention.
