Work you’ll do

  • ubject Matter Expert support for the SEA Director of Independence on personal independence and other related matters
  • Key point of contact for SEA independence consultations on personal independence; working together with respective country DOIs;
  • Supporting SEA Partners, Directors and Managers on personal independence and other related initiatives;
  • Lead inspection and testing activities in SEA
  • Design and maintain program on personal independence in SEA
  • Oversight of the various SEA independence monitoring processes on personal independence (i.e., Independence Inspection & Testing, dashboard monitoring, etc.);
  • Oversight over risk operations relating to the maintenance of personal independence systems, processes and controls
  • Conduct briefings to lateral partners on personal independence requirements;
  • Assist in Global/AP Independence Practice Reviews; or conduct SEA geographies practice reviews;
  • Assist in SEA ISQM (Independence) requirements as it relates to areas of personal independence
  • Participate in Global/AP Independence initiatives to asses fit-for-purpose for SEA requirements
  • Develop communication and learning programmes to enhance personal independence sensitivities of Deloitte professionals

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in audit or a firm’s risk or independence management function (preferably in Big 4 firms)
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Preferably with knowledge of IESBA, SEC and PCAOB independence standards 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
