The opportunity

We are looking for Business Development & Account Management Senior Executive/ Executive to join our team to help grow our car workshop network and maintain a good working relationship with existing workshops. We launched our auto service financing in March 2022 which enables car owners to obtain financing to pay for their essential car repairs at the workshop. Since then, we have over 1,500 workshops signed up across the country and helped over 10,000 car owners to repair/ services their car affordably.

We are looking for someone who is result-driven, has a proven track record of driving revenue growth, able to build good working relationships with business partners and has a good commercial sense of identifying new business opportunities.

Job Requirements

 What will you be doing?

  • Acquire and activate car workshop partners to grow the company's business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with workshop partners to keep them active promoting Direct Lending’s solutions
  • Help identify new business opportunities that will deliver win-win solutions for car workshop, car owners and the company
  • Work closely with the marketing, credit, product development and technology team to ensure alignment of business development efforts.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing business deals 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify potential business opportunities.

Are you the one?

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a business development, account management or sales role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth for the business.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English 
  • Willingness to travel within peninsula Malaysia for visiting workshops, client meetings and industry events.

For borrowers who are declined by formal banking channels, their current financing options are just not good enough. Many loan scammers or unscrupulous money lenders are readily to take advantage of their vulnerabilities. These are all well documented.

We started Direct Lending to change this, making safe and affordable loan accessible to every hardworking adult at anytime, anywhere; helping them to address their needs or to fulfil their dreams.

Direct Lending is an online personal lending platform, enabling borrowers to find, apply and receive financing that best suits them in a safe and affordable manner. There are currently over 20 financing providers on the platform.

In 2021, Direct Lending has been granted credit community (moneylending) license from Ministry of Housing and Local Government which gives us more flexibility in providing financing solutions to our customers.

We recently launched our first embedded financing project by providing auto service financing which enable car owners to obtain financing to pay for their essential car repairs at workshop, with a few more projects to be launched in the coming months.

Direct Lending is a recipient of Cradle CIP300 funding in 2019 and graduated from Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre's (MaGIC) Global Accelerator Programme in 2017.

Direct Lending started from a 2-man team in October 2016 to now a team of over 20 finance, credit, marketing, technology and product professionals. Since incorporation, we have achieved over 100% CAGR growth in our loan disbursed value and is operational profitable.
