Description: Job Responsibilities:
- Provides technical support at site
- Perform machine installation, commissioning, & buyoff for SMT & other industrial machines
- provide technical training, troubleshooting & diagnostics, repair, upgrade, & modify work, problem solving & application support.
- Identify & attend to system and user problem
- Installation and Commissioning: You will be responsible for installing new SMT and Semiconductor equipment at customer sites. This involves setting up the machines, configuring software and hardware, and ensuring proper integration into the production line.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: When equipment malfunctions or encounters issues, you will be responsible for diagnosing the problem and performing necessary repairs. This includes analyzing electronic circuits, identifying faulty components, and replacing or repairing them as needed.
- Maintenance and Preventive Service: You will conduct regular maintenance activities to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment. This involves cleaning, calibrating, and inspecting various components, as well as conducting preventive maintenance to avoid potential failures.
- Customer Support: As a service engineer, you will provide technical support to customers. This includes addressing their concerns, answering queries, and guiding them through the operation and maintenance of the equipment. You may also provide training to customer personnel on the proper use and maintenance of the machinery.
- Documentation and Reporting: You will maintain detailed records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions. This information is crucial for tracking equipment performance, identifying recurring issues, and generating reports for management and engineering teams.
- Continuous Learning: SMT and Semiconductor technologies are constantly evolving, so you will need to stay updated with the latest advancements and industry trends. This involves attending training sessions, workshops, and staying informed about new equipment releases and upgrades.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and reliability of the equipment is essential. You may be involved in conducting tests, inspections, and quality checks to verify that the machines meet the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborating with the Team: You will work closely with other service engineers, technicians, and customer support teams to share knowledge, solve complex problems, and provide a seamless customer experience. Collaboration and effective communication are key aspects of the job.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor in Engineering or its equivalent
- Have experience in technical or field service of SMT and Semiconductor or related industries.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Education: A Diploma bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is often required.
- Technical Knowledge: Have some understanding of SMT and Semiconductor equipment and customer operation. Knowledge of electronic circuits, digital and analog electronics, automation systems, robotics, and programming languages (such as C, C++, or PLC programming) is beneficial.
- Experience: Prior experience in the field of SMT or Semiconductor equipment is highly desirable. This experience could include working with equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, or maintenance. Relevant internships or hands-on projects during your education can also be valuable.
- Troubleshooting Skills: As a service engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and solving technical problems. Strong troubleshooting skills, including the ability to analyze electronic circuits and identify faults, are essential.
- Communication and Customer Service: Excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with customers, understanding their issues, and providing effective solutions. You should be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals and work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: You should have a logical and analytical mindset, with the ability to think critically and solve problems efficiently. This includes being able to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
