Job Description
The Graphic Designer Intern will support the Creative Team in developing visual materials for social media, branding, advertising campaigns, presentations, and other client-related creative work. The intern will assist in translating creative briefs into engaging designs while learning how an agency environment operates.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in designing social media postings, digital ads, banners, posters, presentation decks, and other marketing materials.
- Support the creative team in preparing visual concepts based on client briefs and campaign directions.
- Adapt approved designs into different sizes and formats for various platforms.
- Assist in photo editing, layout design, typography, and basic visual enhancement.
- Work closely with the Senior Art Director, designers, and account servicing team to complete creative tasks.
- Ensure all artwork follows the client’s brand guidelines and visual direction.
- Help prepare final artwork files for digital or print usage when required.
- Conduct simple visual research, moodboard references, and design inspiration based on project requirements.
- Support internal design needs such as company announcements, presentation materials, and creative proposals.
- Learn and follow the agency’s workflow, file organisation, naming system, and task management process.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Creative Multimedia, or any related field.
- Basic knowledge of design principles, layout, typography, colours, and visual hierarchy.
- Familiar with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Canva, or similar tools.
- Able to understand creative briefs and follow design directions.
- Willing to learn, take feedback positively, and make revisions when required.
- Good attention to detail and able to meet deadlines.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Possess a creative mindset and interest in branding, and digital content.
- Basic communication skills in English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
- A portfolio of school projects, personal design work, or previous creative work is encouraged.
