Job Description

This internship provides you the opportunity to work with our Design & Merchandising team in creating women’s apparel for various seasons and occasion, gain exposure on the design process and participate in photoshoot activities and fitting sessions:

• Assist in the design process from creation/conception (by hand or using computer-aided software) through to final styling;
• Preparation for fitting session such as steaming & arranging samples, take notes of changes or modification during the session, and follow-up on communication with our suppliers;
• Preparation and assist in photoshoot sessions and Visual Merchandising shooting;
• Check and ensure the finishing quality and fitting measurements for all samples are according to the specification before proceeding for mass production.
• Research, source and analyze on emerging fashion trends as well as new trends on fabrics, colours and techniques;
• To assist the Design & Merchandising team in daily operational tasks and administrative matters;
• This role requires close liaison and communication with suppliers/business partners in China.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Manager or Supervisor;

Job Requirements

• Candidate must be currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing or equivalent;
• Have a valid Internship letter from the University with at least twelve (12) weeks of internship duration;
• Good in MS Office, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator;
• Enthusiastic and creative with strong analytical skills;
• Have an eye for colours, textures and patterns;
• Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast pace environment;
• Required languages : English, BM and Mandarin (required for liaison with suppliers & business partners in China).
