Job Description

The successful candidate will be a key support to the Consultant Oncologist in a fast-paced clinical environment. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Clinical & Administrative Support: Assist in the smooth running of the oncology clinic and meticulously organize patient information within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Patient & Family Liaison: Assess the emotional and social well-being of patients and their families, providing crucial feedback to the medical team to facilitate comprehensive care planning.
• Patient Communication: Serve as a compassionate point of contact for patients via phone and social media, addressing their non-clinical queries before and after treatment.
• Contribute to Public Education: Assist in developing accessible, educational materials to raise public awareness on important health topics. This may involve exploring the use of modern digital tools to create engaging content for our community

Skills Needed:

• Fast learner and adaptable in a dynamic clinical environment. 
• Average to good interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine empathy for patients. 
• An understanding of, or strong willingness to learn, core patient care principles. 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• A Plus/Bonus Skill: An interest or existing skill in digital content creation (such as basic video editing or using AI tools) is a welcome advantage, though not a core requirement.

Preferred Background:

We are intentionally seeking a versatile candidate from a diverse academic background. You are the ideal candidate if you are:

• A fresh graduate with a qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Biomedical Science, Social Science, Business Studies, Mass Communication, or Multimedia.
• MBBS graduates awaiting housemanship are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role offers excellent clinical exposure.
