Assistant Site Supervisor in the plantation sector involves supporting the Site Supervisor or Plantation Manager in overseeing daily operations on the plantation.
Job Requirements
1. Education * Minimum: SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) or equivalent. * Preferred: Diploma or Certificate in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or related field. 2. Experience * 1–3 years of working experience in plantation operations. * Fresh graduates with relevant diplomas may also be considered for junior positions. 3. Technical Skills * Basic understanding of plantation operations such as planting, harvesting, fertilization, and pest/disease control. * Familiarity with farm machinery and tools. * Ability to read field maps and plantation layouts. 4. Soft Skills * Leadership qualities and ability to supervise a team of general workers. * Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia; English or other local dialects is a plus. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * High level of responsibility and discipline. 5. Other Requirements * Willingness to work in remote or rural locations. * Physically fit and able to work under hot and humid conditions. * Possess a valid driving license (motorcycle or car) – often preferred. * Knowledge of sustainability standards (e.g., RSPO, MSPO) is an added advantage.
