Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct necessary disciplinary actions, including investigations, drafting, and issuing disciplinary letters to employees (for all branches and subsidiaries). • Review and advise on disciplinary issues and actions to be taken by HR in the factory in Jitra when required. • Investigate reported cases or issues by analyzing evidence and providing investigative conclusions. • Prepare charges and documentation for domestic inquiries, and act as the prosecuting officer or assistant prosecuting officer during inquiries. • Provide counseling and coaching to staff on performance and disciplinary matters. • Develop and revise guidelines, policies, or procedures related to discipline and employment when needed. • Curate and deliver training, briefings, inductions, and awareness initiatives for employees. • Communicate, address queries, and advise stakeholders on matters related to employment law. • Maintain and update disciplinary records in HRMS and other relevant systems. • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, company policies, and industry standards. • Study and interpret relevant legislation and monitor developments in employment laws. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned. • Participate in programs or projects related to the Human Resources Department. • Undertake other duties as needed or required.
Professional Qualifications or Educational Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Specification of Competency Standards (SCS): • Strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws, employment regulations, and industrial relations practices. • Ability to analyze labor-related issues and provide sound recommendations. Job Skills and Knowledge Requirements: • Excellent communication, negotiation, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills. • Strong writing and reporting abilities with good computer proficiency. • Personal attributes: fair, determined, confident, a critical thinker, people-oriented, logical, with a sense of urgency, well-organized, and meticulous. • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team. • Proactive and willing to learn. • Proficient in English and Malay. • Comprehensive knowledge of the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, and other relevant legislation. Working Experience Requirement: • 3-5 years of experience in Industrial Relations or Employee Relations. • Experience liaising with external parties and government authorities such as JTK and IR Department (JPP)
