Job Description for Senior Manager - Group Human Resources (GHR) Job Title: Senior Manager - Group Human Resources (GHR) Location: Jitra Kedah / Cyberjaya, Selangor Department: Group Human Resources (GHR) Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Summary: The Senior Manager is pivotal in shaping the organization's human capital strategy at a group level. This position is responsible for designing and implementing HR policies, programs, and practices to enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and compliance with labour laws across multiple subsidiaries and regions. The role demands a strategic leader overseeing diverse HR functions, aligning them with the group’s business objectives, and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Leadership: • Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with the group’s vision and long-term business objectives. • Lead the transformation and change management processes to adapt to evolving business needs. 2. Talent Acquisition & Management: • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition processes to attract and retain top talent. • Develop and manage talent pipelines through leadership development and succession planning programs. • Implement competency-based frameworks to support professional growth and skill enhancement. 3. Workforce Planning & Organizational Development: • Responsible for developing Human Capital Management strategies for the Group. • Assess organizational structures and workforce capabilities to identify gaps and recommend improvements. • Design and execute organizational development programs that drive performance and innovation. 4. Policy Development & Compliance: • Establish and standardize HR policies and procedures across all subsidiaries, ensuring they are aligned with local regulations and global standards. • Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards. • Act as the point of contact for labor disputes and government relations concerning HR matters. 5. Employee Relations & Engagement: • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through effective communication and engagement strategies. • Address employee grievances promptly and ensure harmonious workplace relations. • Lead initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover. 6. Compensation & Benefits: • Design competitive and equitable compensation structures that attract and retain talent. • Conduct benchmarking and salary surveys to maintain market competitiveness. • Oversee group-level benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives. 7. Performance Management: • Implement a group-wide performance management framework to promote accountability and excellence. • Provide training and support to managers on performance evaluation processes. • Monitor and review performance data to inform strategic decisions and identify improvement areas. 8. HR Technology & Systems: • Lead the implementation and maintenance of HR technology systems, including HRMS and payroll systems. • Leverage data analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and recommend data-driven strategies. • Ensure data privacy and security compliance across HR systems. 9. Learning & Development: • Develop training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities. • Promote continuous learning through e-learning platforms, workshops, and mentorship programs. • Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and adjust programs as needed. 10. Crisis Management & Employee Well-Being: • Design contingency plans to address workforce disruptions, such as economic downturns or emergencies. • Promote mental health and well-being through awareness programs and support services.


Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. • Master’s degree in HR, MBA, or a related discipline is highly preferred. Experience: • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. • Proven track record in managing HR functions across multiple locations or subsidiaries. • Experience in implementing group-wide HR strategies in a multinational environment. Skills and Competencies: • Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving. • Leadership and People Management. • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills. • Proficiency in HR technologies, including HRMS, payroll, and analytics tools. • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, compliance standards, and HR best practices. Work Environment: • Office-based with occasional travel to subsidiaries or regional offices. • Fast-paced and dynamic environment requiring adaptability and proactive decision-making.
