Job Description
1) Overseeing Daily Operations: Manage day-to-day activities such as planting, harvesting, and maintenance of crops or livestock. 2) Staff Management: Supervise farm workers, assign tasks, and ensure that staff are trained and working efficiently. 3) Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all farming equipment is well-maintained and operational, and coordinate repairs as needed. 4) Monitoring Crop/Livestock Health: Inspect crops and livestock regularly to identify any issues and implement solutions to enhance health and productivity. 5) Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and expenses, as well as track labor hours and productivity. 6) Compliance: Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and safety standards, including environmental practices. 7) Budgeting: Assist in budgeting and financial planning for the farm, including managing expenses and labor costs. 8) Communication: Serve as a liaison between farm management and workers, and report on operations and challenges to higher management. 9) Planning and Strategy: Contribute to the development of farming strategies to improve yield and efficiency. 10) Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise in the field, whether related to personnel, equipment, or crop/livestock management.
