Job Description

 The Accountant/Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards. This role involves overseeing the preparation of financial statements, monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and supervising junior accounting staff (if applicable).

Key Responsibilities:

For Both Roles:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
   
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
   
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations.
   
• Prepare and file tax returns and other required financial documents.
   
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support management decisions.
   
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
   
• Support internal and external audits.
   
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
   

Additional for Accounting Supervisor:

• Supervise, train, and mentor accounting staff.
   
• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
   
• Develop and implement accounting policies and internal controls.
   
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.
   
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
   
• Report directly to the Finance Manager or Controller on financial performance and process improvements.
