Job Description

• Prepare cost estimates based on drawings and specifications
• Develop project budgets and cost plans
• Advise on cost-saving options and value engineering
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ)
• Call for and evaluate tenders/quotations from contractors and suppliers
• Assist in awarding contracts
• Handle contractual issues, variations, and claims
• Track project costs and ensure spending stays within budget
• Evaluate contractor progress claims
• Prepare and verify interim payments
• Finalize final accounts after project completion
• Assess and price variation orders (VO)
• Handle disputes, claims, and negotiations with contractors
• Work closely with project managers, consultant and clients

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification is required at a minimum.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of construction methods and building materials
• Self-motivated, initiative, and independent with good interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Excel and DWG Trueview).
• Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Possesses own transport.
