Fit-Out Project Coordination

• Review and assess tenant fit-out proposals, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with mall guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate and monitor all fit-out activities, ensuring works are executed safely, within budget, and on schedule.
• Conduct site inspections and progress checks, reporting deviations or issues to management.
  

Collaboration with Leasing & Operations Teams

• Work closely with the Leasing team to understand tenant requirements, design intent, and contract terms.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure fit-out works align with mall operations, safety standards, and visitor experience.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and consultants on fit-out works, approvals, and site access.
  

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all fit-out works comply with mall design guidelines, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Conduct handover inspections and coordinate defect rectification before tenant occupation.
• Maintain proper documentation of approvals, plans, and progress reports.
  

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Source, evaluate, and liaise with contractors, vendors, and service providers.
• Monitor contractor performance, work quality, and adherence to timelines.
• Negotiate minor changes or amendments as required.
  

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare progress reports, status updates, and handover documents for management and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain an updated record of all tenant fit-out works, approvals, and communications.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in fit-out/project management within the shopping mall, retail, or commercial property industry.
• Knowledge of construction practices, building regulations, and safety standards in Malaysia.
• Strong project coordination, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or project management tools is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required for communication and explanations with Chinese-speaking clients and tenants.
