About the Role
As a Partnership & Community Intern (Marketing Department) at EasyStore, you’ll play an active role in building and activating our ecosystem of partners, communities, and merchant advocates.
You will gain hands-on experience in event marketing, partnership development, and community growth — learning how a SaaS company like EasyStore connects with SMEs across Malaysia, collaborates with industry partners, and supports local businesses in their digital growth journey.
This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing events, meeting new people, building communities, and understanding how Malaysian businesses operate and grow.
What You’ll Learn and Do
1. Event Planning & Execution
- Assist in planning and executing on-ground events, workshops, webinars, and roadshows.
- Support venue sourcing, vendor coordination, and speaker outreach.
- Assist with managing event logistics, operations, setup, and on-site coordination.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution.
- Support registration management and merchant engagement during events.
2. Partnership & Ecosystem Support
- Research and identify potential SME communities, associations, and ecosystem partners.
- Assist with partner outreach, communication, and coordination.
- Help track partnership deliverables and follow-ups.
- Support sourcing collaborators for co-marketing initiatives.
3. Marketing & Content Support
- Draft copy for email blasts, blog articles, event pages, and social media captions.
- Support content creation for merchant stories and community highlights.
- Assist in documenting events (photos/videos) and repurposing content for marketing use.
4. Reporting & Analysis
- Support basic event and campaign reporting (attendance, engagement, lead tracking).
- Assist in compiling simple performance reports using spreadsheets.
- Learn how marketing activities contribute to SME acquisition and growth.
5. Community Activation
- Support the planning and execution of merchant programs, founder meetups, and advocacy initiatives.
- Assist in creating meaningful touchpoints that encourage merchants to connect, learn, and grow.
