Job Description

  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates, feasibility studies, and development budgets to support project viability and management approval.
  • Review and validate consultants’ cost plans, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documents to ensure accuracy and alignment with project scope.
  • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimise construction costs without compromising design intent or quality.
  • Assist in tender calling, tender evaluation, and recommendation of awards for main contractors and specialist subcontractors.
  • Administer construction contracts, including review of progress claims, variation orders, EOTs, and contractual correspondence.
  • Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget utilisation, identifying cost risks and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Verify and certify contractors’ claims, variations, and final accounts in accordance with contract conditions.
  • Liaise closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to resolve commercial, contractual, and cost-related issues.
  • Prepare cost reports, financial summaries, and management updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Support project completion and close-out, including final account settlement, cost reconciliation, and post-project cost analysis.

Job Requirements

  1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
  2. Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost control, and project management
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  5. Strong communication and negotiation skills
  6. Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office applications
  7. Experienced Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry or Fresh Graduates are welcomed to apply
