Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. This role will primarily involve managing the day-to-day finance operations for Malaysia and Thailand. The position offers a nurturing and dynamic working environment, with close guidance from the Head of Finance. You will co-manage all aspects of the finance department alongside your peers, including billing and collections, procurement and payments, cash flow planning, banking and treasury matters, preparation and closing of accounts, and providing financial advice to management on all aspects of the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee end-to-end Account Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP) operation, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payments processing, and financial reporting in accordance with internal controls and company policies.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate month‑end closing, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation of intercompany balances to support performance analysis and strategic decision‑making.
  3. Assist in monitoring cash flow position, overseeing collection, and supporting financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  4. Collaborate closely with the Treasury team to manage and monitor banking and financing facilities, including LC, IF, Term Loans, Term Deposits, and Bank Guarantees.
  5. Support the maintenance and strengthening internal controls and SOPs, while driving continuous improvement in finance processes and operational efficiency.
  6. Liaise with external parties and stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and government authorities.
  7. Supervise, guide, and mentor accounting and finance staff, including junior team members.
  8. Work closely with project, procurement, operations, and management teams to align financial processes with business and project requirements.
  9. Undertake ad-hoc assignments and projects as required by management.


Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years in a similar role preferred.
  3. Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  4. Knowledge of Autocount System will be an added advantage.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with the team and other stakeholder.
  6. Strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple competing priorities.
  7. Attention to details and strong problem-solving skill.
  8. Willing to learn and work in a dynamic business environment.
  9. Self-starter, self-motivated, independent and versatile team player.
  10. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, book keeping procedures and inter-company transactions entries
  11. Working experience in financial audit or construction related business will be an advantage, but not required.
