As a BDE, your primary responsibility will be to identify, create and nurture business opportunities to drive growth and profitability of the company. You will work closely with our business development team to develop and implement strategies to expand the organisation’s market reach and revenue.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industries, and markets for expansion.
• Generate leads through various means, such as cold-calling, networking, digital marketing, and referrals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospective customers.
• Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company’s products or services.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to secure new business opportunities.
• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
• Work closely with the sales, marketing, and engineering teams to align efforts and strategies.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on the progress of business development activities.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
• Ad hoc projects when required by management.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or a related field (language is an added bonus).
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; solar industry or sales experience is a bonus.
• Fluency in English (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an added bonus).
• High-level writing, presentation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience in digital marketing and online lead generation.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Customer-centric with ability to understand customer needs; self-driven and proactive.
