JOB PURPOSE

With a commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven intern to support our Engineering team. The Engineering Intern will support the Engineering Division in the planning, design, execution, and quality assurance of large-scale solar and other projects. This internship provides hands on exposure across multiple engineering disciplines; including design drafting, civil, mechanical, electrical, QAQC, and site engineering, offering a full project lifecycle learning experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design & Drafting Support
1. Assist in preparing and updating engineering drawings (layout plans, SLDs, mounting structures) using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
2. Support the Design Team in performing basic calculations and preparing technical documentation.
3. Compile design specifications, materials, and equipment lists.
4. Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Tasks
5. Assist in basic structural assessments (cable routing, trenching, mounting systems, foundation works).
6. Support mechanical design aspects such as module mounting structure checks and equipment placement.
7. Assist in electrical engineering documentation including cable sizing, inverter placement, and component coordination.
2. Site Engineering & Project Execution
1. Attend site visits to support on-ground surveys, progress monitoring, and technical inspections.
2. Assist Engineers in daily supervision activities, recording site data, and reporting issues.
3. Support coordination between contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
3. QA/QC & Compliance
1. Assist in conducting quality inspections and verifying work against engineering standards and project specifications.
2. Help prepare QAQC checklists, test reports, site photos, and documentation for project acceptance.
3. Participate in equipment testing & commissioning activities as required.
4. Documentation & Project Administration
1. Prepare reports, minutes, drawings, and technical submissions for internal and external parties.
2. Support project planning activities including scheduling, tracking, and document control.
3. Maintain proper filing of drawings, test reports, and project documentation.
5. Ad hoc projects when required by management.

Job Requirements

JOB COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENT

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Understand in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD or similar will be an added advantage.
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve project-related challenges.
• Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interest, passionate about our energy efficiency solutions and curious about the industry.
• Self-driven, resourceful and proactive in finding solutions and meeting company objectives.
• Able to travel to project sites, including outstation assignments (short-term or long-term) whenever required. Must possess a valid driving licence and have own transport.
