Role Summary
We're looking for a Social Media Team Lead to own brand content strategy and creative direction across our retainer client portfolio. You'll be the main client liaison for 2β3 accounts, lead a team of 3β4 (Social Media Executive plus creatives), and hold the bar on every piece of content that goes out β copy, visuals, video, and platform performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency, can hold a tight deadline without losing creative quality, and knows how to read both a client's brief and their unspoken expectations. Experience leading social for automotive brands is a strong advantage.
What You'll Own
Brand & Content Strategy
- Define and drive overall content strategy for assigned brands β narrative direction, content pillars, channel mix, and campaign rollouts.
- Set and own platform KPIs across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms β engagement, follower growth, reach, and look-and-feel consistency.
- Translate client business objectives into social-first content frameworks that actually move the needle, not just look good in a deck.
Client Management
- Act as the main key liaison for 2β3 retainer clients β running weekly check-ins, presenting strategies and content reviews, managing expectations, and resolving issues before they escalate.
- Build trusted senior-level relationships with client marketing teams; understand their brand inside-out so creative recommendations land with credibility.
- Manage scope, timelines, and deliverables across accounts β flagging risks early and proposing solutions, not just problems.
Team Leadership & Quality Control
- Lead and develop a team of 3β4 β Social Media Executive plus creative talent (graphic designer, videographer/editor) β through clear briefs, constructive feedback, and consistent coaching.
- Review and approve all client-facing work: copywriting alignment with brand voice and audience targeting, video edits, graphic edits, and shoot output. Nothing goes out without your sign-off.
- Maintain quality standards on video shoots and edits β from concept to final cut β ensuring every asset is on-brand, on-trend, and on-time.
Project & Production Management
- Run end-to-end project management for content production: planning, briefing, shoot coordination, editing cycles, approvals, and publishing.
- Attend on-ground events and shoots for content coverage β directing creators on the day to capture what the client actually needs, not just what was on the shot list.
- Build and maintain content calendars, production schedules, and reporting cadences that keep the team and client aligned.
