All about the role:
We’re looking for a Data Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing high-performance data solutions. In this role, you won’t just write code, you’ll act as a technical force multiplier, working closely with the Senior Engineering Manager and supporting four cross-functional teams that span commerce platforms, data processing, and system integrations. 

About the CDI Experience Organization:

The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Center, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity to AI. You will play a key role in ensuring the right sizing, right skillset, and core competency across these product areas.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into elegant data solutions. 

  • Architect, implement, and optimize data systems that power commerce operations, customer analytics, and system integrations. 

  • Work hands-on with both cloud-native and hybrid environments to integrate data across AWS, Azure, and other platforms. 

  • Collaborate across teams to build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.  

  • Provide technical guidance and best practices across teams, helping them deliver reliable, performance-oriented, and insightful data services. 

  • Ensure compliance with privacy, governance, and security standards. 

Who are you:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related subjects preferred.  

  • 7+ years of work experience building applications. 

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, CloudWatch, AWS Databricks), Azure (Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Azure Databricks, Functions, Key Vault, Monitor, CosmosDB). 

  • BI & Visualization: Quicksight, Power BI. 

  • Databases: Postgres, MongoDB, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata. 

  • Pipelines: Event-driven, ETL/ELT, batch and streaming. 

  • Languages: Python, SQL, and optional experience with Java/Scala is a plus. 

  • Expertise in any modern document-oriented database, with a preference for MongoDB. 

  • Experience working in an agile environment with a focus on engineering practices like testing, continuous integration, etc. 

  • Data Migration experience.  

  • Analytics mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Fine knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies. 

  • Fluent in English. 

Desirable  

  • Experience and knowledge in platform management, preferably with certification such as Azure Administrator 

  • Mongo Cluster administration 

  • AKS cluster administration 

  • Some knowledge of SAP based systems 

  • Data Migration experience
