Job Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION

You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace by 

implementing and monitoring occupational safety, health, and environmental (HSE) policies 

across the company. You will support the HR Operation Division in maintaining compliance 

with regulatory standards, conducting safety training, and promoting a culture of safety 

within Empire Sushi outlets and headquarters.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Organize and deliver HSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for employees. 
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with preventive measures. 
  • Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g., DOSH, DOE) and ensure timely submission of required documents and permits. 
  • Ensure proper maintenance and availability of safety equipment, fire protection systems, and first-aid facilities. 
  • Promote safety culture by engaging employees in HSE initiatives and awareness programs. 
  • Support HR Operations in emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management. 
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the superior.

Job Requirements

  

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
  • Must be a registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with DOSH (preferred). At least 2–3 years of working experience in HSE, preferably in F&B, retail, or manufacturing industries.
  • Certified trainer for Training OSH Coordinator. 
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOSH regulations, and other HSE-related laws in Malaysia. 
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. 
  • Reliable, independent, and able to work with minimum supervision. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and educate employees at all levels. 
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and BM.
  • A team player with strong organizational and planning skills
