Job Description

 

Key Responsibilities

1.Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities for capsule products (empty hard gelatin and HPMC) in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and herbal industries.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve targets, and collaborate with internal teams (technical, logistics, regulatory, procurement) to ensure smooth order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Aggressively expand sales and market presence through new client acquisition and strategic partnerships.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve sales performance, marketing strategies, and customer engagement.

2. Customer Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison for existing and new customers.
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and excellent service.
  • Handle all customer inquiries, quotations, and commercial negotiations effectively

3. Forecasting & Planning

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and order projections.
  • Analyze market trends, customer demand, and inventory flow to guide production and procurement planning.
  • Provide timely and accurate sales reports and recommendations to management.

4. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Gather market intelligence, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support sales strategies.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments, product positioning, or promotional initiatives based on market conditions.
  • Maintain strong market knowledge and anticipate industry trends to stay ahead of competition..

5. Administrative & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer records, pricing databases and sales documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates to management.
  •  Ensure compliance with company policies, code of conduct and operational procedures.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the pharmaceutical ingredients, nutraceutical, or packaging industry.
  • Innovative, proactive and aggressive in driving sales expansion and market development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Results-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage, as the role involves communication with Mandarin speaking clients.
  • Possess own transport (car) with claimable petrol and toll expenses.
