Responsibilities
- PQR / WPS Certification and Welder Certification, liaising with Clients for welding related issues.
- Keeps complete List of welder qualification. Sends to Production every week.
- Custodian of WPS/PQR, Welder Certificates and in charge of updating.
- Liaises with clients for welding related queries and approvals during all stages.
- Prepare and review of Weld map as per PQR and WPS.
- Conduct and prepare WPS/PQR, welder certificates
- Issuing Welders ID.
- Managing day to day welder Test, sending for test and qualification.
- Calculates electrodes required by production at various stages in project. And makes MR and follows up with Procurement.
- Analyze and estimate required PQR/WPS for new projects and Bids
- Analyze and guide for project weld repair status, weld repairs, welder performance
- Conduct training for welders
- Maintain project repair KPI by monitoring and guiding production welding team
- Support/ Guide to production and projects team for all welding related activities
- Calculates welders required for the Project.
- Ensures all welding happening on yard is as per WPS and Procedures.
- Checks welding audit performed by QC Inspectors and advises.
- Liaise and support project QC team for all welding relevant activities
- Attend safety tool box talks and Safety walks and suggest improvement.
Qualification, Skills & Experience
- Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent,
- IWE or IWT (Mandatory)
- CWIP 3.1/AWS SCWI(Optional)
- Minimum 10Years in the field oil & Gas construction activities for onshore, offshore, Rigs/ship building
- Excellent communications skills (written and oral) in the English language, Hindi, Malayalam or Tamil.
- Knowledge in codes & standard
