Find out more about the many benefits we offer: https://careers.evonik.com/en/why Responsibilities Design and productionize Generative AI applications based on LLMs and custom fine-tuned SLMs with advanced retrieval methods like GraphRAG and other modern approaches Explore and implement agentic AI concepts that make systems more autonomous and scalable Build and run AI solutions on Azure, leveraging Azure AI Foundry as the foundation. All with strong focus on MLOps, observability, security and compliance Work closely with colleagues from production, R&D and corporate functions to turn business challenges into AI-driven solutions with measurable value Drive innovation by experimenting with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Langfuse or protocols like MCP, A2A, ACP and bring new ideas into production at scale. Requirements Several years of experience in Machine Learning Engineering or Software Engineering with a strong focus on AI Masters degree in data-related technical field (depending on the functional location of the senior machine learning engineer, this can be e.g. Chemical Engineering, Statistics or Computer Science) Excellent programming skills in Python Proven experience in deploying LLMs and Generative AI in real-world scenarios Solid understanding of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and scalable deployment Strong expertise in data structures including tabular, time series, and continuous data and database interaction (SQL orNoSQL) Hands-on experience with data collection such as process monitoring sensors, analytical instruments, or related Curiosity, creativity and the ability to explain complex systems in a simple way to colleagues with diverse backgrounds Nice to have: experience with GraphRAG, Agentic AI, MCP Your Application To ensure that your application is proceeded as quickly as possible and to protect the environment, please apply online via our careers portal.
