Role Summary:

 

This is an important role within the procurement team and will offer you a great opportunity to influence how the team develops of the coming years. The position holder will join the team here in Malaysia and act as a contact specifically for EITS purchase such as Hardware, software & cloud computing but will also assist with other categories of spend, such as marketing, professional services, HR, facilities and travel.

Main responsibilities include Creation and management of RFX , developing supplier / stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts and market leading commercials, maintenance of quality / governance standards, reducing supply chain risk, enhancing systems to improve the buying process and leading procurement projects involving multiple departments / countries to bring value to the Experian business. Another main part of this role will be to promote and "sell" the benefit of the Procurement function to the wider business, hosting webinars and training sessions to internal groups.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Define and document project pipeline and plan for FY period
  • Negotiate & challenge suppliers and realize market leading commercials
  • Strengthen business relationships with Internal stakeholders and main suppliers;
  • Develop regional category strategy in partnership with Global lead;
  • Improve cost-saving programs at both country and regional level
  • Standardize procurement practices across businesses, countries and region
  • Work with internal / external auditors and senior management to close the gaps and lead improvements based on audit findings
  • Manage contract renewal and project pipelines
  • Build a stakeholder engagement plan to support procurement strategy
  • Set and create the regional category strategy for EITS  across the APAC region, in association with the Global category lead.
  • Lead the category offering SME advice to internal stakeholders across the region

 


Job Requirements

Qualifications

More About You:

  • Bachelor degree with economics, business, trading or equivalents
  • At least 6+ years' experience in procurement, at least 2 years focused on IT procurement, be familiar with the P2P process, market situation and quality system standards in Financial and big data industry
  • Commercial Law – understanding of contractual law, including risks, negotiation and drafting experience
  • Engaging presenter and have relevant project management skills
  • Implement existing supply technologies and aid in the advancement of new technologies
