We are hiring Kitchen Crew for our Cafe

As a Kitchen Crew member you will be a builder of consistency and speed in our kitchen. You will help set clear prep standards, keep production flowing during service, and refine simple recipes so every customer gets the same good meal. You will also work closely with front-of-house to time orders, maintain basic hygiene, and support smooth shift turnovers.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Prep & Production

• Prepare and portion ingredients daily following simple recipes and the prep list to keep taste and portions consistent.
• Cook basic menu items during service and adjust pacing to clear tickets on time.
• Monitor station stock and notify the shift lead of shortages early so production keeps moving.
• Keep your station clean and organised between runs to speed up shift turnovers and reduce errors.

Service Flow & Coordination

• Work closely with front-of-house to time orders and handle special requests smoothly.
• Prioritise plating and final checks so each dish meets presentation and portion expectations.
• Support servers during peak periods to reduce wait times and improve customer experience.
• Conduct clear handovers at shift end so the next team can continue service without disruption.

Hygiene & Shift Ownership

• Follow basic food safety and personal hygiene rules at all times to protect guests and team members.
• Complete dishwashing and scheduled cleaning tasks, including equipment wipe-downs and surface sanitising.
• Assist with simple temperature checks and waste control to maintain quality and minimise loss.
• Learn and apply new recipe tweaks or prep standards as shared by the senior cooks.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Available to start as soon as possible after the interview session.
• SPM or equivalent qualification and above.
• Warganegara Malaysia.
• Ability to communicate in Malay and English.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Basic kitchen skills such as cutting, simple cooking techniques, and portioning.
• Familiarity with basic hygiene practices and willingness to follow food safety routines.
• Comfort using standard cafe equipment like grills, fryers, and prep tools under supervision.
• Able to follow written recipes and prep checklists to maintain consistency.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Punctual and reliable with a record of consistent attendance for scheduled shifts.
• Team player who communicates clearly and supports colleagues during busy periods.
• Willingness to learn on the job and take on extra responsibilities over time.
