Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Air-Conditioning Technician to handle installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of vehicle air-conditioning systems. The role mainly supports buses, trucks, and commercial vehicles, with opportunities to support passenger-car A/C projects in the future.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle air-conditioning problems.
• Install, service, and replace A/C components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, blowers, hoses, sensors, and electrical parts.
• Perform refrigerant recovery, vacuuming, leak testing, charging, and pressure/temperature checks.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and cooling system issues.
• Conduct final testing to ensure the A/C system is working properly.
• Support warranty claims and product-return assessments.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers, workshops, dealers, and sales teams.
• Assist with product demonstrations, installations, and basic technical training when required.
• Maintain accurate job records, photographs, parts usage, and service reports.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and refrigerant-handling procedures.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or vocational qualification in Automotive Air-Conditioning, Automotive Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive A/C experience.
• Experience with buses, trucks, or commercial vehicles is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of A/C systems, refrigerants, pressure/temperature diagnosis, and leak detection.
• Able to use A/C recovery machines, vacuum pumps, gauges, leak detectors, multimeters, and diagnostic tools.
• Basic computer skills for reports and service records.
• Valid driving licence and willing to travel to customer/workshop locations when required.
• Able to perform normal workshop duties and work safely around vehicles.
• Experience with commercial or heavy-vehicle A/C systems.
• Passenger-car A/C experience is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to learn new products and technologies.
