Job Role
As our Social Media & Community Management Intern, you’ll help build and run real-world and digital experiences that deepen our connection with our audience. You’ll play a key role in planning events, engaging online communities, and executing marketing strategies that make people excited to learn and take part—both in-person and across social media platforms.
This internship is perfect for someone who is people-oriented, organised, creative, and passionate about financial literacy and media. If you’re curious about how branding, marketing, and community-building work behind the scenes, this is your chance to learn by doing.
Key Responsibilities
📈 Strategic Marketing
- Build Marketing Strategy: You will assist in building the marketing plan and content funnel to attract and keep our community engaged.
- Track Growth: You will monitor our community and event growth, manage calendars, and keep all records updated.
- Test New Ideas: You will experiment with new ways to boost engagement, using data and feedback to refine your approach.
- Report Performance: You will help create and share reports on what's working well and where we can improve.
- Social Media Content Calendar: You will help plan and schedule daily content across our social media platforms to maintain a consistent presence.
🎟 Event Planning & Execution
- Plan and Host Events: You will help plan and run our community gatherings, workshops, and partner events, both online and in person.
- Promote Events: You will design and launch marketing plans to get people excited about our events, working with our content and marketing teams.
- Manage Event Details: You will handle all the practical parts of an event, including booking venues, preparing materials, and working with speakers.
- Oversee Registration: You will set up and manage event sign-ups and keep our attendee lists organized.
- Create Event Content: You will write clear and engaging event invitations, promotional text, and post-event summaries.
- Coordinate on Event Day: You will be the main point person on the day of the event, making sure everything runs smoothly.
- Improve with Feedback: You will collect feedback after each event to help us make the next one even better.
- Post Event Highlights: You will manage the posting of event photos, videos, and recaps on social media to highlight our community.
👥 Community Engagement & Digital Moderation
- Talk with Our Audience: You will engage directly with our community across all platforms, including Instagram (DMs, Stories), WhatsApp, Discord, and comments.
- Start Conversations: You will use polls, Q&As, and other interactive content to encourage and lead community discussions.
- Build Excitement: You will help build buzz for new products and launches by sharing strategic updates and talking with our community.
- Answer Questions: You will respond to audience questions in a helpful and friendly manner.
- Share Highlights: You will work with the content team to share event highlights, updates, and community achievements.
- Monitor Social Channels: You will actively monitor social media channels for brand mentions, relevant conversations, and community questions.
- Create Engagement Content: You will produce quick, engaging content like memes, short-form videos (Reels, TikToks), and interactive polls specifically for our social media channels.
🤝 Cross-Team Collaboration
- Align with the Team: You will work closely with our marketing and content teams to make sure community activities support bigger campaigns.
- Be Our Voice and Ears: You will represent our brand, sharing community feedback with the team and ensuring all interactions match our mission.
- Support Campaigns: You will help create community contests, challenges, or discussions that are connected to new videos or campaigns.
Job Requirements

- Organised & detail-oriented—able to manage logistics, schedules, and last-minute changes
- Digitally savvy—familiar with social media, especially Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, and tools like Canva, Telegram, Google Sheets
- Creative & proactive—ready to share ideas, take initiative, and solve problems on the go
Bonus Points
- Past experience running events or communities (even in clubs, societies, or online groups)
- Comfortable working some evenings or weekends for event days (with advance notice)
- A follower of Mr Money TV, The FAQ Show, The Coffee Break, or our other brands
- Interest in social media strategy, branding, or marketing (you’ll get to learn it here!)

- How to plan and run events from scratch—logistics, promotion, and execution
- The foundations of brand strategy and marketing: how to drive sign-ups and create community engagement
- How media companies build and nurture loyal communities—both online and offline
- Real-world experience in cross-team coordination, creative problem-solving, and audience insight
- Mastering emerging platforms like Instagram Broadcast Channel, and best practices for community-building on WhatsApp and Discord
- Project management and digital communication skills that will serve you in any fast-moving company
Duration
This internship runs for 3–6 months, with potential to extend or convert to full-time based on performance.
