Position Summary
Five Eight Twenty-Two Consulting Inc. dba The Mantis Group is a Canadian consulting and technology company helping organizations unlock value through data, marketing, and product innovation. We’re looking for a highly skilled Full-Stack Developer to join our team on a contract basis, with strong potential to convert to a permanent role. In this role, you’ll lead the build of scalable systems across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure layers, contributing directly to the evolution of high-impact products and client solutions. You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your technical leadership and problem-solving skills will help shape the future of our platform and engineering culture.
Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead Next.js Development: Own the design and development of complex front-end and server components using Next.js and TypeScript. Establish scalable architecture, reusable components, and performance best practices.</li>
<li>API &amp; Integration Design: Build and maintain integrations with external APIs (e.g., Meta, Google), developing consistent, well-documented integration patterns.</li>
<li>Salesforce Marketing Cloud Integration: Design and implement custom solutions and data flows between internal systems and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including audience syncing, data extension management, and triggered messaging workflows.</li>
<li>Back-End Architecture: Develop and optimize robust internal APIs and advanced CRUD logic with full validation, error handling, and monitoring.</li>
<li>Asynchronous Systems: Architect and implement high-volume queue processing systems, including error recovery, retry logic, and observability.</li>
<li>Database Strategy: Design PostgreSQL schemas, including migration strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning for large datasets.</li>
<li>Microservices &amp; DevOps: Define and deploy microservice architectures using Docker and Kubernetes. Manage CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and runtime monitoring.</li>
<li>Observability &amp; Incident Response: Set up and maintain comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Sentry, Datadog), including automated incident workflows.</li>
</ul>
