To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Industrial Engineering Manager located in Flex PTP.
Reporting to the Director the Business Excellence Manager role is responsible to work as a change agent and drive lean and six sigma activities.
What a typical day looks like:
Strategy and Leadership
1) Develop, deploy and sustain the company’s Lean strategy to drive operational excellence.
2) Map, communicate and execute the site ETE transformation covering cross-functional areas.
3) Drive the ETE Lean Transformation Plan ensuring cross functional alignment and execution.
4) Change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the organizations.
5) Align lean initiatives with key business KPI to achieve cost, quality, delivery and safety.
Lean Transformation and Kaizen to Business Needs
1) Identify opportunities for process optimization and waste elimination.
2) Conduct and facilitate monthly Kaizen Workshop.
3) Provide project governance, tracking and reporting of Lean initiatives, including savings and benefits realization.
Performance & Measurement
1) Monitor progress and actual achievement versus tasking and goal.
2) Report achievement and improvement impact to leadership team.
Continuous Improvement Maturity Tracker
1) Own and manage the Continuous Improvement Maturity Tracker.
2) Access organization maturity scores.
3) Identify gaps and define action plans to move the organization toward higher maturity levels.
Capability Building, Coaching and Certification
1) Train and mentor employees (IDL and DL) on Lean methodologies and problem solving techniques. (using Lean tools)
2) Build internal lean capabilities. (certification, workshop, competition)
Standardization and Best Practices
1) Drive standardization of processes across functions, departments and between sites.
2) Benchmark best practices across the sites as well as from other Flex sites.
Lean Culture
1) Promote employee engagement in Lean activities. (newsletter)
2) Facilitate employee engagement activities ( Kaizen Events, Lean Recognition Programs)
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8 years related working experience
• Knowledge of Lean Principles
• Experience in Lean transformation
• Coaching, facilitation and leadership skills to influence at all levels
• Good communication skills
• Data driven problem solver with strong analytical skills
• Project management
