Job Summary

Job summary:

Responsible for building internal relationships and developing indirect material sourcing and supply base strategies, participating in developing processes to effectively control spending in the Indirect Procurement commodities and scale to support anticipated growth along with the corporation.   

To standardize indirect commodities, development and management of supply chain relationships, and drive further site cost reductions across the Flex portfolio through Supply Chain consolidation and development of cost savings strategies.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Responsible for supporting indirect material sourcing and supply base management strategies and policies. Participate and provide direction in the development of preferred suppliers working closely with regional and global teams.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams to develop strategies that will drive synergy savings.
  • Implement and communicate strategic and preferred commodity plans designed to meet site performance goals.
  • Meet or exceed published cost reduction goals with agreed-to time frames, establish long-term relationships that benefit Flex worldwide.
  • Monitor current market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply-demand trends.
  • Work with site purchasing managers to develop the scope of work for services to optimize project costs by implementing approved quotation process.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex estimating and/or procurement assignments.
  • Work closely with regional teams and with site NPP and MRO teams to develop strategies that will drive synergies savings across the sites.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • A minimum of 10 years of material and manufacturing experience, including supervision and management.
  • Experience in indirect purchase,  has knowledge on most of indirect commodities like facility, HR, EDM, IT, Waste,  professional services (Canteen, events, security, janitorial) etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, sense of urgency and ownership.
  • Has successful leading projects on cross site services, like building, events.
