Job Description

Audit Fieldwork & Execution

• Perform statutory audit procedures on financial statements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and the firm’s audit methodology.
• Execute substantive testing, including vouching for documents, bank reconciliations, confirmation circulation, and analytical procedures.
• Assist in carrying out physical inventory counts (stock-takes) and fixed asset verifications at client sites.
• Identify audit issues, discrepancies, or internal control weaknesses and communicate them to the Audit Senior/Manager.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare clear, accurate, and complete audit working papers and documentation to support audit findings.
• Assist in reviewing financial statements and necessary disclosures in compliance with MFRS/MPERS and the Companies Act 2016.

Client Management

• Liaise professionally with client finance teams to obtain necessary audit evidence and explanations.
• Maintain client confidentiality and uphold the code of ethics and professional conduct at all times.

Job Requirements

 Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Partial or full professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA Australia, MICPA, ICAEW) is highly desirable.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic records are encouraged to apply.

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of accounting principles, MFRS, and MPERS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word).
• Familiarity with audit software (e.g., aBot, AXP) is an added advantage.

Soft Skills & Languages:

• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage (often required for dealing with SME clients in Malaysia).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during the peak audit season.
• Willingness to travel to client sites within Malaysia when required.
