Job Summary

The Café Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires a friendly, customer-focused individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a welcoming café atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to café standards
• Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely and correctly
• Take customer orders accurately and handle cash and electronic payments
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional customer service at all times
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including counters, equipment, and seating areas
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety guidelines
• Restock supplies and assist with inventory checks as required
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve basic complaints politely and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience as a barista or in customer service is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques (training can be provided)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Basic math and cash-handling skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
