Position Overview:
The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient operation of all Information Technology systems across the Resort. The role oversees IT infrastructure, hotel systems, data security, and technology support to ensure smooth operations and an optimal experience for both guests and employees. The IT Manager ensures all systems comply with IHG brand standards, information security policies, and technology guidelines while supporting operational efficiency, guest service delivery, and business continuity.
Key Responsibility and Main Duties
A. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Manage and monitor all IT systems to ensure proper installation, configuration, and operation.
- Maintain hotel technology systems including PMS, POS, Accounting Systems, Door Lock Systems, Guest WiFi, Call Accounting, PBX system, PA systems, IPTV system, CCTV system and Network infrastructure.
- Ensure all computer hardware, software, and network systems operate efficiently.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all IT hardware and software assets.
B. Information Security & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IHG information security standards and PCI DSS requirements.
- Maintain data protection, network security, and firewall configurations.
- Administer user access controls including system IDs and passwords.
- Ensure proper security and environmental control of computer rooms.
- Conduct regular system backups and ensure data recovery procedures are documented.
C. IT Support & Operations
- Provide timely IT support to employees and management.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide user training on hotel systems and IT equipment.
- Maintain system documentation and IT operating procedures.
D. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Develop and maintain IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct periodic testing of backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure rapid system restoration during outages or failures.
E. IT Audit & System Compliance
- Support IT security audits and internal system reviews.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and technology standards.
- Maintain IT system logs and performance monitoring records.
F. Vendor & Technology Management
- Act as primary contact with IT vendors and service providers.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend hardware/software solutions.
- Monitor system lifecycle and recommend upgrades when necessary.
G. Budget & Financial Management
- Assist in preparing the IT department annual budget.
- Monitor IT expenditure and ensure cost efficiency.
- Evaluate new technologies that improve productivity.
H. Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise IT staff and ensure service standards are maintained.
- Provide coaching, training, and development for IT team members.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of IT personnel.
I. Cross-Department Collaboration
- Work closely with operational departments to support Resort systems.
- Support Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Front Office systems.
- Assist management with technology-related initiatives.
J. Other Duties
- Participate in management meetings and provide IT guidance.
- Stay updated on emerging hospitality technology trends.
- Perform other duties assigned by Resort Management.
