Job Description

 Product & Category Planning

• Plan confectionery and food gifting products for IP merchandise stores, pop-ups, events, e-commerce, and mass-market retail channels.
• Assist in selecting products such as cookies, chocolates, candies, snacks, gift tins, seasonal gift sets, and character-themed confectionery merchandise.
• Support festive and seasonal product launches including Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Valentine’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, Christmas, and school holiday campaigns.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on product sampling, costing, packaging, artwork, and delivery timelines.
• Support product assortment planning to ensure products are suitable for different store formats and customer profiles.

Stock, Expiry & Sales Monitoring

• Monitor stock movement, sell-through rates, inventory ageing, and expiry dates for confectionery products.
• Follow up on replenishment for best-selling products and seasonal items.
• Track near-expiry and slow-moving products and propose corrective actions.
• Suggest promotions, bundle deals, sampling activities, festive gift packs, or clearance plans when required.
• Prepare simple sales and stock monitoring reports for management review.
• Coordinate with warehouse and retail teams to ensure healthy stock levels across stores and sales channels.

Retail Display & Campaign Support

• Work closely with retail and visual merchandising teams to create attractive confectionery and gifting displays.
• Plan display placement for cashier counters, entrance displays, feature tables, seasonal campaign zones, gift sections, and promotional areas.
• Support campaign mechanics such as gift-with-purchase, purchase-with-purchase, festive bundle sets, and seasonal promotions.
• Help improve impulse purchase opportunities and gifting presentation in stores.
• Coordinate display setup and campaign execution together with retail and marketing teams.

Halal Application & Compliance Coordination

• Support Halal application and documentation processes for confectionery and food-related products when required.
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and certification bodies for Halal-related documentation and compliance matters.
• Collect, organize, and maintain documents including ingredient lists, product specifications, supplier declarations, Halal certificates, packaging artwork, and production details.
• Monitor Halal certificate validity and renewal dates.
• Ensure product labels, ingredients, and supporting documents are properly checked before product launch.

Job Requirements

•  Minimum 1 – 3 years of working experience in merchandising, category support, product planning, FMCG, confectionery, food retail, gifting, or lifestyle retail.
• Basic understanding of stock control, expiry date tracking, replenishment planning, and sales reporting.
• Able to use Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for stock and sales monitoring.
• Good coordination, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Organized, careful, and detail-oriented in handling food products and documentation.
• Able to work in a fast-moving retail and merchandising environment.
• Interested in character brands, IP merchandise, confectionery, gifting products, and lifestyle retail.
