Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Internship Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cost estimation, contract administration, and procurement within the construction industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in quantity surveying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in remeasurement of variations due to design changes for structural and architectural elements.

  • Conduct cost analysis, price comparisons, and bulk purchase studies for various materials.

  • Tabulate and analyze smart home product packages, comparing net differences.

  • Support in tender evaluations, commercial reporting, and specification comparisons across multiple projects.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for quotation requests and tender clarifications.

  • Prepare elemental cost breakdowns for both landed and high-rise projects.

  • Develop technical evaluation criteria for contractors and analyze tender submissions.

  • Assist in basic unit rate comparisons for tenderers and Bill of Quantities (BQ) preparation for M&E works related to actual and temporary show units.

  • Prepare non-compliance reports for bulk purchase sanitary wares and fittings.

  • Conduct architectural and structural quantity analysis for various high-rise projects.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.

  • Basic knowledge of tender processes, cost estimation, and contract administration will be an added advantage.
