Gary Chong Studios (M) Sdn Bhd is looking for a proactive and resourceful intern to ioin our team, supporting both Production Management and Business Development.

This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to not only how video productions are planned and executed, but also how a creative production company wins clients, develops opportunities and grows the business.

You'll work closely with our producers, creative team and founder across live projects, pitches and business development initiatives.

Job Requirements

Production Management

• Assist producers in coordinating video productions from pre-production through shoot and post-production.
• Support production schedules, call sheets, timelines, crew coordination and logistics.
• Assist with sourcing talents, locations, props, equipment, crew and vendors.
• Coordinate with internal teams, freelancers, suppliers and external partners.
• Assist during location recces, production meetings and shoot days.
• Support production budgets, cost comparisons and basic project documentation.
• Help identify potential production issues early and work with the team on solutions.

Business Development & Company Growth

• Work closely with the founder/management team on business development initiatives and growth strategies.
• Research potential clients, industries, brands and new business opportunities.
• Assist with cold-email outreach and prospecting to potential clients.
• Maintain and update prospect/client databases and follow-up lists.
• Research upcoming campaigns, festive opportunities, corporate projects and potential partnerships.
• Assist in preparing credentials decks, proposals, pitch materials and case studies.
• Help maintain and update the company’s website, portfolio and project listings.
• Review how the company presents its work online and suggest improvements.
• Conduct competitor and industry research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Brainstorm new approaches to lead generation, client acquisition and company positioning.
• Support other commercial or strategic initiatives directly with the founder.

Qualifications & Personal Attributes

• Proactive, resourceful and willing to learn.
• Organised and comfortable handling multiple tasks at once.
• A good communicator who isn’t afraid to speak to people.
• Curious about both the creative and business side of the industry.
• Comfortable doing research and figuring things out independently.
• Familiar with Google Workspace / Microsoft Office; Canva, website CMS or similar tools are a plus.
• Interested in video production, advertising, content, marketing or entrepreneurship.
• Able to take ownership rather than waiting to be told every next step.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change.
• Students or fresh graduates in Mass Communication, Broadcasting, Film, Marketing, Business, Advertising or related fields are welcome to apply.
