Role purpose

This role acts as the backbone of our store operations by keeping admin tidy, stock accurate, and customers served. You will help maintain order behind the counter so sales staff can focus on service and sales without avoidable interruptions.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Receive deliveries, check items against invoices, and update stock records so inventory stays accurate.
• Operate the point of sale system for cash and card transactions and issue receipts to customers.
• Perform daily store opening and closing checks to ensure the shop floor and stockroom are secure and presentable.

Admin & Documentation

• Maintain clear filing for invoices, delivery notes, and warranty documents for easy retrieval.
• Prepare simple sales and stock reports for the manager on a weekly basis.
• Handle basic data entry into MS Excel and our retail system to keep records up to date.

Customer & Team Support

• Greet customers, answer routine product questions, and route more technical enquiries to colleagues.
• Coordinate service bookings between customers and workshop staff to minimise wait times.
• Support the team with light merchandising and restocking so shelves remain tidy and sale-ready.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent; recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
• Approximately 0 years of formal work experience expected; we will train you on our systems and processes.
• Previous exposure to retail, automotive retail, or customer-facing roles is a plus but not required.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Basic computer skills, including MS Excel for simple spreadsheets and data entry.
• Familiarity with point of sale systems or willingness to learn our POS quickly.
• Competency in organising documents and keeping accurate records for invoices and stock.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Organised and reliable, with an eye for detail when checking deliveries and paperwork.
• Friendly communicator able to interact clearly with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and able to work as part of a small, busy team.
