Learner Success, Manager/Senior Manager

The Role

The Manager or Senior Manager of Learner Success will be responsible for the planning, development, organisation, execution, monitoring and evaluation, and leadership of all matters relating to training operations and delivery, learner engagement, learner success and alumni engagement. The role is responsible for driving a positive learning experience through client engagement and service excellence. 


Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for both the in-person and virtual community strategy. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Programme Management 
    • Building and managing learner success strategy and assume the role of learners success advocate for the organisation. 
    • Manage all key programme deliverables and milestones.
    • Plan, execute and support pre-delivery, delivery, and post-delivery operations.
    • Collaborate and partner with internal and external stakeholders aiming for excellence in support services. 
    • Facilitate learner engagement.
    • Provide support services to learners.
    • Achieve learner success in every part of the learning journey.
    • Plan, strategise and lead alumni engagement.

 

  • Programme Monitoring and Evaluation
    • Regularly review and assess key programme data points and progress against programme milestones.
    • Identify learning patterns from learning cohorts to showcase impact stories.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative studies to produce in-depth insights into learners’ learning experience and journey.  
    • Produce periodic reports to appropriate stakeholders to support business continuity and sustainability. 
    • To be a champion of data-driven decision-making in training programmes. 

 

  • Learner Experience
    • Support learners to make the most of their learning journey.
    • Accountable for learner performance against learning objectives, milestones, and collecting and consolidating learner feedback on their learning experience.
    • Work closely with the project teams to provide regular updates on the courses and learner progress.
    • Identify risks and provide innovative insights and solutions to learning challenges. 
    • Provide continuous actionable feedback for continuous learning improvements.

Required skills of an ideal candidate:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in training, learning and development, teaching and learning, e-learning and adult learning.
  • A Bachelors in Education, specialising in teaching and learning or training. Preferably a Masters degree in Education or other related fields.
  • Excellent written and spoken command of the English and Malay language. Must have a mastery of language - spelling, punctuation, and grammar count, as well as the ability to write succinctly and boil complex ideas down into simple explanations
  • Possess exceptional listening, consultative, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Effectively deal with ad-hoc challenges, keep calm in pressing situations, be flexible with last-minute changes, and still have a positive attitude.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends, when the project requires so.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in using LMS platforms, e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, Schoology, Google Classroom, etc.
  • Experience or exposure to teaching and learning technology-led tools.
  • Good attention to details.
  • Innovative, creative and ready to try something new (growth mindset).
  • Good business and digital acumen, with the ability to assess the effect of the changing environment to the business and the impact on learning needs.
  • Possess ood negotiation & dynamic interpersonal skills.
  • Has the ability to lead a diversified team.
